The moon was rising and the sky was illuminating with light. I looked up to the sky when I saw the falling star. It is named shooting star. It was so beautiful. When I was a kid, I used to believe that every time we saw a shooting star, we should make a wish, mention our big wish by heart. It says if we make a wish at that moment, our wish will come true.
When I grow up I start asking what the shooting star is exactly. Why should we pray every time we see it? As I know shooting star is common name for the sparkling path of meteroit as it enters the athmosphere to become meteor. If a shooting star endures impact with the earth's surface, it's called a meteor.
Until now I haven't found it out yet, what is the relationship between shooting star and making a wish? I asked some friends and they had many different answers. It says that the shooting star is the moment when the angle of God descends to earth and gathers all of our pray at time. That is the reason why we should pray every time the star is falling.
But I don’t believe the myth. I think that is only one of superstitions around us. It's also hard to understand, but this habit still exists until now. I just believe that God will grant our prayer anytime not only when we see a shooting star.
